Show us your best photographs taken with a 35 mm lens and win a powerful Leica X1!
Leica Fotografie International and LEICA Camera AG hereby warmly invite you to participate in a new and exciting competition. Upload your best photographic work taken with a classic 35 mm reportage lens and win a brand-new Leica X1 digital reporter camera.
Competition rules:
- All camera platforms are welcome. This is not a Leica-exclusive contest.
- All formats are accepted: colour, black & white, portrait and landscape.
- Participants may send in a maximum of 10 photographs from which one is nominated by the jury for the competition.
- Important! Only pictures taken with a classic 35 mm reportage lens - or an equivalent focal length for Leica M8, Leica R9 + DMR, Leica Digilux, Leica D-Lux or other camera system of any make - are allowed into the contest (see list below).

- To compete, participants must be registered LFI Gallery users.
- Digital picture must contain uncorrupted Exif data. Analogue pictures must come supplied with camera and lens type stated truthfully in the upload section.
- Pictures must be 800-1000 pixels in length.
- The participant must be the author of the submitted works.
- The participant must own the exclusive rights over the submitted works or be authorised by the originator of the photographs to enter the works into the competition.
- The pictures must be genuine photographs. Photo montages are not accepted.
- The pictures must be exempt from third party exclusive rights. The photographer is responsible for honouring the personal rights of those featured in the photographs.
- Those acting on behalf of a photographer must be authorised by the photographer to accept the terms and conditions in his name.
- By entering into the contest the participant declares his or her consent to the publishing of the submitted works in LFI Gallery. All rights remain those of the participant who merely grants Leica Camera AG and LFI (represented by IDC Corporate Publishing) the right to publish the submitted photographs on their respective websites as well as present them in international exhibitions relating to the competition. In the case of the latter, the participant may be asked to supply certain photographs in full resolution.
All decisions are final.
The competition closes 31 December 2009. All submissions will be processed by LFI and Leica Camera AG and the winners announced in January. The three best photographers will each be awarded a brand-new Leica X1 with powerful APS-C sensor.
